Sheringham is a charming, traditional English seaside town on the North Norfolk Coast. The lively town centre offers a wide variety of shops and the many pubs and restaurants provide the visitor with choices to suit every taste and pocket. The North Norfolk coastline stretches for 43 miles and much of it is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is a haven for many breeds of birds making it a must for ornithologists. The diverse landscape includes wide sandy beaches, pine forests, saltmarshes and mudflats and as the seasons change the countryside takes on very different qualities.
With its rich mixture of Victorian and Edwardian architecture, Sheringham has much to offer, ranging from the 'Little Theatre', which has a wonderful summer repertory season, the famous North Norfolk Steam Railway, 18 hole golf links set on the cliff top, to 'The Splash' Leisure Complex.
Sheringham has miles of golden sands, and is one of the few beaches in the UK to be awarded the E.E.C. Blue Flag for clean beaches & unpolluted waters.
The National Trust's Sheringham Park is nearby, and there are miles of well signed footpaths and by-roads, which makes this area ideal for walking, horse riding and cycling.
